The Original K9 Flax Wrap!

K9 Flax Wraps are handmade, aromatherapy wraps made from 100% cotton fabric and filled with:

• Natural golden flax seed, which is an herbal flower seed
• Organic lavender, which promotes relaxation, pain relief, and helps with sleep
• Organic calendula flowers, which are immunostimulants and antibacterial
• Organic chamomile flowers, anti-inflammatory and helps promote sleep
• Organic rosemary leaf, antioxidant, antiseptic, and antispasmodic
• other  organic herbs selected for their soothing, comforting, calming effects

The wraps are designed to warm or cool a dog right where they need it.  The Body Wrap was designed to provide warmth and comfort around the neck, shoulders and down the spine.  The Stifle Wrap and Leg Wraps then came along to provide the same comfort to specific areas of the body. 

The Original K9 Flax Wrap may be warmed in the microwave to provide moist heat and release the essential oils of the herbs for a very calm, soothing effect that lasts 30-45 minutes. The 100% cotton fabric insures that no chemicals will be released from the fabric while warming. Flax seed is 30-40% oil, which allows it to be used over and over again to provide moist heat. The warmth of the heated Wrap may be used to warm up a cold dog, to comfort the senior dog, or to ease the tired muscles of a working dog.

The Wraps may also be chilled in the freezer in a Ziploc bag for a cooling effect. While the Wraps may be heated or chilled, it is preferable to buy separate wraps for heating and chilling to maintain the integrity of the flax seed. The chilled Wrap can cool down an overheated dog, used on an inflamed area, or can be used by alternating it with a warm Wrap every 5-10 minutes to increase blood flow to an area.
